Message from the Director

Odia Patience Diessa

At Inter Health Services (IHS), we go beyond delivering mental health and disability support—we empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create pathways for equitable access to care.

With over 20 years of experience in mental health, disability services, and healthcare leadership, I have witnessed firsthand the barriers that many Australians—particularly those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Indigenous, and marginalised communities—face when trying to access support. These challenges are not just about availability of services; they are about equity, dignity, and creating a healthcare system where no one is left behind.

Our work at IHS is driven by compassion, inclusivity, and advocacy for systemic change. We are committed to providing holistic, evidence-based care that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centred. Through NDIS supports, aged care services, professional development programs, and workplace well-being initiatives, we are not just assisting individuals—we are shaping a future where mental health and disability services are accessible, inclusive, and empowering.

However, meaningful change does not happen in isolation. It requires collaboration between healthcare providers, government agencies, community leaders, and individuals who believe in a more inclusive future. IHS stands at the forefront of this movement—advocating for culturally competent care, pioneering innovative service models, and challenging systemic inequities.

I invite you to join us in this mission—whether as a client seeking support, a professional striving for excellence, or a partner committed to making a difference. Together, we can create a society where mental health and disability support is not just a service, but a fundamental human right.
